2009
Optidev continues to expand. The focus on public transportation and long-distance buss traffic is successful. Optidev signs a 15 million SEK contract with Norwegian Railroad to equip all conductors with mobile computers with RFID and payment capability.
2008
The business grows. A new order for more than 1,100 TrueMobile computers is received already in the beginning of the year. In February the new office in Oslo is opened and soon thereafter Byggmakker, DHL and Posten Logistics are Optidev customers in Norway.
2007
2007 becomes a year of success for Optidev and the TrueMobile concept, with more than 2,000 new TrueMobile units sold and delivered. Large resources are focused on further development of the TrueMobile platform and Optidev 24 hour exchange service grows rapidly during this year.
2006
Optidev launches vehicle mounted computers from LXE, Akerstroms (now LXE) and Motorola (former Symbol) as part of its focus on third party logistics companies. Optidev introduces 24-hours exchange service program, which includes all mobile computers, vehicle mounted computers, WLAN infrastructure, printers, and bar code scanners. Optidev expands its business outside Sweden by closing business deals in Norway and Denmark.
2005
The year starts with a large roll-out for the Swedish Post. The first RFID project comes in and the mobility service, TrueMobile, is launched this year. Året inleddes med utrullning av ett stort projekt hos svenska Posten. Det första RFID-projektet drar igång och utvecklingen av TrueMobile-konceptet slutförs. The service department moves into a new office in Slagsta Strand, ten minutes from Stockholm city.
2004
Optidev moves into a new office in Gothenburg and the business targets new customer segments and the customer base grows. Symbol’s former service manager joins Optidev to head up its repairs and service team and the service department moves into a larger office in Sodertalje. The business focuses on the transport and manufacturing.
2003
This year is the most expansive this far. Optidev receives a service contract from Schenker, including 2,000 mobile computers and a pilot project for DHL turns into a 10 million SEK business.
2002
Optidev continues to expand and DHL continues to be an important customer. Optidev completes a pre-study and analysis to select the best mobile computer for DHL. Later this year Optidev completes a pilot with the selected mobile computer and Optidev ComServer.
2001
Optidev introduces hardware sales and web based service concept, and the company can now offer a total solution, including application software, hardware, and service and support. Optidev receives a large order for the ComServer concept from DHL Express. The company increases to four employees and moves into a larger office. 2000Optidev is founded in March of 2000 by some software developers. They have a background from Hogia Communication and Ericsson. The business is focused on software development for transport, manufacturing, restaurants and prepress. By the end of the year the prepress is removed as a focus.
