Optidev today announced Tommy Vestlie as president of Optidev AB. He assumes the new role as of January 1. Dag Wohlén, founder and former president of Optidev, is staying with the company, but will focus on sales in his new role.

Optidev is an independent integrator of mobile solutions. TrueMobile, the company’s successful mobility service, offers a complete solution for mobile data capture, with a real-time connection to the central IT system. The offering includes hardware, application software, and installation as well as service and support.

Optidev has grown rapidly with good profitability over the years. Bringing Tommy Vestlie on board is an important step in strengthening the company’s market position.

Prior to joining Optidev, Vestlie was a regional manager for Atea, the largest IT infrastructure provider in the Nordic region. He has also held other management positions within Atea, as well as served as program manager at EDS, and IT and production manager at Sapa Autoplastics.
